While I sit here thinking about Whispering Wishes and Beyond Blue, I would first like to take this opportunity to express why we proudly support Beyond Blue.

I have personally reached out to Beyond Blue for help and support as I've struggled all my life living with chronic depression and suicidal tendencies. (As you read this, you may think it isn't for me, or it has nothing to do with me?) I ask you to please keep reading.

I'd been living most of my life in a dark and lonely place, and I felt like I was drowning in a sea of confusion and chaos. Some days, I couldn't and didn't want to get out of bed because I couldn't see the daylight within my day. That was until I found Beyond Blue.

I was hesitant to reach out and my mind was telling me all sorts of things like - I was not worthy of this support, they wouldn't be able to help me, my life wouldn't change, or I wouldn't be able to make the change. My mind was trying to sabotage all my positive thoughts with this one decision to reach out to Beyond Blue.
I read the words on their website - "Beyond Blue is a safe place for everyone to access information, advice, and support to meet their needs in managing their day-to-day living" I looked more into their website, and I found an abundance of resources, from articles on managing stress to forums where I could connect with others going through similar experiences, and you can connect with qualified counsellors.

FINALLY! I found the support I needed! I felt heard and supported, and I had hope for the first time in a long time.
Beyond Blue isn't just for those with severe mental illness (like in my situation). It's for everyone - whether you're feeling great and want support with managing a work situation, or you are struggling and need support with a very difficult situation, you're feeling isolated and alone, or you're in recovery and want to reconnect. Beyond Blue offers a helping hand to anyone who needs it, regardless of their situation.

And that's the beauty of Beyond Blue - it is a place where you can find the information, support and guidance you need to navigate life's ups and downs. It's a helping hand and a reminder that you're not alone in your life journey and that help is just a click away.
Life isn't easy - we all have challenges, obstacles and difficult times, and for some, it can be more severe, like overcoming childhood abuse as it is for me and for others, it could be struggling with a difficult work situation that's causing you to stress, maybe it is marriage or relationship problems, or maybe it is because you're a senior citizen and you're feeling isolated and alone?

With Beyond Blue, you can get the help you need to move forward and find some direction.
The counsellors are qualified, and they offer a non-judging listening ear and the connection with others can help you find solutions/ways to overcome your situation that you may not have thought of, as others have done with similar situations.

I'm so glad I pushed through all the negative chatter from my mind that was trying to sabotage my decision to contact Beyond Blue. I'm sincerely grateful for the resources Beyond Blue provided me with and the community I found within Beyond Blue.
